Welcome to Johnson Air Base, JapanThere were many who served, many who came of age. For some it was a staging area for battle but for others it was a time between wars. A time of growing up and discovery. No distinction on the battlefield was to be theirs. Instead the battles were of a different kind. The battles of the bars and clubs. The battles through the mazes of post war Tokyo. I can truly say no finer men than we, the Lost forty, corrupted the morals of post war Japan. This site is dedicated to all the guys and gals that served at Johnson Air Base, and especially to those proud and profane. The men of the 'Lost Forty-and the other Nineteen'. The memories are locked in a special place (relax guys, they will stay locked), folded pieces of silver and Gold. I'm just glad our parents didn't know what was going on. Alas, Johnson is no more and the Lost forty are scattered like cherry blossoms in an April breeze. "Into my heart, an air that kills from yon far country blows. What are those blue, remembered hills? What spires, what farms are those? It is the land of lost content I see it shining plain The happy highways where I went and cannot come again." t Send commens inquiries to:
